Hi Carol, You belong to a large family coded PA-2. They are all descendants of a fellow named Johan Wendell Vetter. In Genration 5, there is a group of 10 children. #6 is Marcus Fetter (1845- ) x Ann Elizabeth (1845- ) of Schuylkill Co, PA. #10 is Benjamin K Fetter (1852-1928) x Amelia (1853-1904) of Zion's Pitman, Eldred Twp, Schuylkill Co, PA. I think this is the Benjamin that you mentioned. In Generation 6, Marcus (Mark) has two children: Lulu (1874 and Henry Sylvester Fetter (1878- ) x 1899 Sadie C Snyder of Mr Carmel, Northumberland Col and of Schuylkill Co. Benjamin has 3 kids: Isaac (1875- ) Catherine (1876- ) Henry Fetter (1879- ) There may be an Earl here, but I have not found him. Earl would then be first cousin to Sylvester. You will see, that in my listing, Ben is the brother of Sylvester's father, Marcus. I list Sylvester with 6 children: Marcus "Mark" Fetter (1899-1952) x Helen Mauer (c1900-1942) of Lavelle, PA and later Pauline B (1899-1978) of Pitman, PA. Leah (1902- ) x ..... Helper Earl (1905- ) (COuld THIS be the EARL) Herb (1907- ) Erma (1910- ) John (1912- ) I show Marcus with two kids: Russell Mauer Fetter (1921- ) Jean E Fetter (1929-1950) and show Leah with one childL Naomi Hepler (1920- ) Clearly i have to change either the Helper or the Hepler name. I can send you the chapter that deals in depth with your family line, but I have typed here what I know of your specific line. Can you help me improve it? I use only the year of birth, marriage and death. I like to add locations where the person was known to live. If Russell is indeed your dad, I would like to get his information like this: 1 Russell Mauer etter (1921- ) x ,,, wife (....-....) and location. his brothers and sisters in same format. The chidren of Russell and of his siblings in same format. The grand children ofRussell. On the off chance that this Russell is not your dad, you need to send me what you know of your dad so I can find more on him. But it looks like I have the right family. You would list yourself as Carol Fetter (19xx- ) x .... Robert Baltera (19xx- ) St Augustine, Fl (Then brothers and sisters) Then your three married children. Child 1 x spouse Child 2 x spouse Child 3 x spouse and then the grandchildren. Is Toniakaren one word? Or is it Tonia Karen? The census shows Sylvester as Sylvester H yet my records show Henry Sylvester and it may be that he found Henry to be a more workable name in day to day activities. I do not see the name order as significant. You are part of a missing link, so it is good to hear from you. None of my work is on the internet and I only mail information to folks. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Tom Fetters (My family came from Freinsheim which is a small village near Lusdwigshaven (or Mannheim) on the Rhein River. Freinsheim is about twenty miles west of the river and in a rich vineyard area. They went to Philadelphia in 1731 and settled on the east side of the mountain at Reading. If you have been to Reading, you have to get to the east side of the big mountain to Oley, PA. Later they moved west to Bedford, PA. YOUR family came from near Mannheim. Wendell was born in 1713 and may have lived in Lenderfals in Hessen. Wendel and wife Katherine Enterline amrried about 1734 and had son Philip Vetter in 1735. They crossed the Atlantic on the "Loyal Judith" in 1742. He settled in Northampton County near Wentz's Reformed Church where he rebuilt the church building. This churchwas still standing in 2007 and is a large white building with a tall steeple. He was buried at Wentz's Cemetery on Skippack Raod in Montgomery Co, PA and his wife Elizabeth is next to him.
