John Fetters & son Nimrod

I did some searching and found that there is a posted error on John Fetters (1803-1878) that says he was born in Holstein River, Scott Co, VA and died in Kentucky. Some one mixed up two John Fetters on this one.

John is at Philadelphia Middle Ward in 1860.

I found his son John A in Philadelphia in 1850
and sister Anna Archer Fetters there
and brother Richard Fetters (so you must add him to the list)
and sister Rebecca John Fetters but someone read the J initial as P and she is listed that way. But you can read the form and it is a J if you already know her name.
and I found Nimrod. Some are showing him as a female on one world tree, but census confirms he is a male.
He enlisted in Co C of the 95th PA Infantry (although one source said Co E. Enlisted in 1861 and mustered out in 1865. One source said he was awol in 1864.
He is in Philsadelphia in 1860 and in 1880 married to Emma (1847- ) with two girls, Ella 1862 and Susan 1866.

Rebecca is married to John Weltmore born in 1828 and in Philadelphia in 1860. They are in Patterson, NJ up near New York City in 1880 with Kate, 1857; Henry 1859 a silk weaver; linignia 1861 a silk weaver; and seney 1866 still in school.

So, for 15 minutes work, I added quite a bit.

You could follow up on Nimrod and the two girls, or trace Henry Weltmore if you want to try.

Tom
