After having lived with the name "Fett" for almost 70 years now, I can probably add a few recollections to those mentioned.Of course, Felt is a common reference, particularly if both t's are not crossed, or if the first one has a bit of a loop. One of the more common ways the name is heard is "Sett", prompting me to almost always say "F like in Frank" when I am giving my name out...particularly on the telephone.A former neighbor's name was Eugene Sit, and he later went on to be involved in some mutual fund investments, and for awhile, I was confused with him by some people.I have always been happy with a short last name and felt privileged when I saw some of the long and complex last names...particularly for the little children having to learn those names.Your project sounds interesting and I would love to see the results.
