You might check the Fassler family from Buchholz, Steinerberg, Canton of Schwiz, in Switzerland. This is my fathers family and they have lived there for many generations. I have a Johann (John) Fassler that was born in 1835 (sister Regina) who named a son Johann Josef (John Joseph). I also have a pen and ink drawing of the family coat of arms around here in a file. The original that was brought from Switzerland by my grandfather in 1902 I *think* was destroyed in a fire some years back. Brace yourself though, there's a big wine barrel in the middle of it. While my father produced some of the best wine I've ever tasted (a family tradition) it refers to "Barrel maker" which is the translation of Fassler.
