VESPERMANN, GERMANY/FESPERMAN, NC
I have been trying to sort out the Fespermans of Stanly County, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and Rowan Counties in North Carolina.
I have found so many gaps in ages that there must be another connection to Henry Fesperman, married to Christina, d. 1791, and Michael Fesperman, b. ca 1740, married Elizabeth Ridenhour.
Since the ages of Henry's children are so much younger than Michael, b. ca 1740, d. 1806, could Michael have been a brother to Henry instead of his son?
In going through IGI records in Familysearch.org, I found a HEINRICH RUDOLPH VESPERMANN, christened in 1721 in Delligsen, Braunschweig, Germany.Could he have been the father of Henry and Michael? This Heinrich was a son of HANS JOBST VESPERMANN, christened 1692 in Delligsen, Braunschweig, Germany.Hans was a son of a Heinrich Vespermann and Margarethe Schrader.
HEINRICH RUDOLPH VESPERMANN, b. 1721, mother was ENGEL CATHARINA MARGARETA GUNDELACH.Note Catharina (Catherine) and Margareta (Margaret) names that carry through the NC Fespermans, as well as Heinrich, aka Henry.
Any thoughts by anyone on this theory?
Thanks, Gene Norris.
