My GG Grandfather was the A. Fesmire you mention (Augustus Fesmire, 1823-1870). His son, John Newton Fesmire was my Greatgrandfather.

Augustus is listed on a muster roll for "Moseley's Regiment," raised in Marshall County MS. I have been unable to find any additional information about this regiment. It is possible that the regiment never actually served, or that it was a "home guard" type of militia.

Have you found any additional information?

I wish I had found this message sooner - I hope you were able to prove your lineage for the SCV.

Don
