Finally! I gave up and quit checking for this forum, after requesting it repeatedly. Now we finally find each other, cousins!

I hope we can put our heads together and find some missing pieces to the puzzle. I still have a few copies of my book left, but I'm not here to sell books. Contact me directly, if you are interested.

I've also uploaded my database at RootsWeb in the WorldConnect project. Please let me know if there are errors or additions you can help me with.

Before I published my book, I contacted Lloyd W. Fesmire, who had written a small book about the descendants of Christian Fesmire. I asked him for permission to reproduce his tree in my book, and he granted it. My book was on the descendants of Martin Fesmire of North Carolina. Some of Martin's descendants moved to Tennessee, and some moved to Ohio and Indiana. From Tennessee, other families moved to Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas by the end of the 19th century. Since then, Fesmires have scattered "from sea to shining sea" as I said. The descendants of Christian (and John) lived in Pennsylvania and Delaware. I'm not sure exactly where else they settled. I don't know exactly what the connection is, but I believe that there is one. I have corresponded with some Facemire families in West Virginia, but again, I don't know if there is a connection. (The Southern Fesmire family, to my knowledge, always uses the F-E-S-M-I-R-E spelling, and most of the northern Fesmires do as well. However there is one branch of the family that spells the name F-E-S-M-I-E-R.

We are all related.

Somehow.

Let's figure out how.

Alice Ann Fesmire (div. Khalid and went back to Fesmire awhile back)
