I have James Ferris (son of Jeffrey) b. 1643 d. 1725 and married to Mary Merit. James was one of the original pattentees named in the patent for Greenwich, CT in 1665. Do you have a George W. Ferris in your records? He is listed in the Greenwich 1840 census as George Ferris jr. and of having 7 children at that time.It also puts his birth date at between 1790 and 1800. His son in my line is John William Ferris b. Nov. 18,1835 in Stamford, CT.
