Help me find info. on the birth or adoptive parents of Biddie Ophelia Ferris Smith. Family says she was b.24 July 1882 in Burleson Texas. I don't know if they meant the county or town. Did a search for Burleson Co. and came up with nothing. Biddie had a half sister Pearl (m. Ed Dawson) a few years older and a brother or half brother named Earl. Biddie m. Tilden Henry Smith. He lived in Deep Fork/ Arcadia, OK county OK. I have 3 photos which reveal possible clues to her family origins. These names listed are; Emma Surles of Houston which she refers to as her Aunt, Russel Davidson and his daughter Jaquita. In the second photo Dapene, Arvie West, Russel, DeLores, R.L. Surles, Emma Surles, Dad, Dana Surles and Dana's mother Margaret Surles and Jaquita. Taken on the steps of Sam Houston's monument in San Jacinto TX ca. 1940-50. Haven't found any info. on the Surles family either. Thank You All.
