Revae, After posting my previous note I found a post from Melissa Mailander Curristan dated 9/8/2001. She said Barton Ferris was born 1/20/1812 in Yates County, NY, died 6/1895. He married 4/1833 in Yates County to Rosetta Mott. Rosetta died 10/1888. The other info is about their oldest son George H who married Hattie Piper.
The fact Barton was born in and lived in Yates County, NY helps confirm his being the son of John and Sarah Ann.
