It's probably a longshot, but in Martin Co. there is a William Ferrill listed in the military roster for 1777. I am researching the Ferrill family in that neck of the woods. It's a distinctive spelling and my Ferrills have been pretty specific about it. I wonder if there might be a connection. I know that my GGGGG-grandfather was John F. Ferrill, son of Thomas Ferrill and Elizabeth Eastwood, so am looking for connections to Thomas. Have you found out anything else in the last couple years?
