Happy St. Patrick's Day to all with Irish origins! Here's some info on one that may be interesting, or helpful:
Michael Cody was born at Spring Hill, Barbour County, Alabama; August 4, 1862, Scotch-IRISH descent. He was born the second son of: his father, Michael Cody, who was a native of Warren County, Georgia; and mother Frances Thornton Cody.
Michael Cody married Dora Ferrell, who was the mother of his son Michael. Dora died in 1896, and then he married her sister Nep (sic) Ferrell some years later. The second wife was the mother of Daniel, Melbourne, and Virginia.
(The father of the Ferrell girls was Clarence A. Ferrell, whose father was the distinguished Judge Blount Coleman Ferrell.)
