My Ggrandfather was George Waylon Gay b.July4,1891 to John W.& Mary Etta Ferrell Gay in Wake County,NC. I am trying to find info on his mother. I have his delayed birth certificate and it says she was born in 1863, in Wendell,NC. I have found alot of Mary Etta Ferrells in my research, but am not sure which is her. In the censuses 1900-1930 there is a Josephine and Annie Ferrell living next door to John & mary Gay, also a Joanna & Anna F. living next door. Josephine/Joanna would likely be Mary's mother and Annie/Anna her sister as she lives with them in 1930. Any info on the Gay side would be appreciated as well.
