I have already collected the paper trail primary and secondary documents from PA to NY to London to Steinweiler in present-day Germany. I can document that the Ferrees were in Steinweiler at least as early as 1681. I have not been able to find any of the people in PA living there that say they traveled with Maria from Europe to PA.
Have they actually looked for Daniel in Steinweiler where the Ferrees were living? If he isn't there, then I can't figure out how he could have been acquainted with Maria or the Ferrees. They must have been living in different places. Do you know where Daniel was living in London when his first wife died? Do you know her death date?
I have looked all over for the Slaymakers because someone said that they were friends of Maria as well and that they lived and traveled with her to NY. However, Slaymaker is not on any of the lists from Rotterdam or the Hunter's lists from NY. She never lived in Strausburg where they lived. I also believe that she was in Chester Co. and probably was dead by the time the Slaymakers arrived there.
It would be great to find out that she did know some of these people in Europe. However, the way things are looking so far these seem to be traditional family stories of other people. The Ferrees never mentioned traveling with others.
