Prizzi 1902 birth register pg 58
Since I know our family used a variety of spellings, I am posting the following in case yours did, as well.
The following entries are from page 58 of the birth registry for St George the Martyr in Prizzi, Sicily, for the year 1902, which contains the surname, FERRARA. The names are Latin version...e.g. Giuseppe is Joseph, Josephi,Josepho and Josephis. The "ii" actually looks like a "u" with the two dots above. As for the rest of the document, I think the translation is at least in the ballpark.
#224 21 June 1902, I Father Joseph Cannella baptized the infant who was born today at 8pm to Castrense Ferrara of Marci (Marco)and Vincentia (Vincenza) Gallo/Gollo of Stephani (Stefano)(of Alcamo) who was named Maria
Godmother was Vincentia (Vincenza)Pecoraro of Josephi (Giuseppe) There is also a stamp filled in with the following information:
30 July 1915 Matrim Contrax Trinidad Bernardo Lorino (I know this is who Maria married, so I am going to assume they had to write to the church for proof of birthdate.)
#225 25 June 1902, I Father Joannis Girgenti baptized the infant who was born this day at 2am to Bernardo Collura of Georgii and Catharina Ferrara of Salvatoris who was named Salvator
Godparents were Antoninus Vallone of Antonini and Castrentia Sinatra of Ignatii the word that follows looks a form of the word conjuges or a married couple.
#229 26 June 1902, I Father Petrus Campagna baptized the infant who was born 24 June at 10am to Josepho Cannariato of Salvator and Catharina Greco of Josephi who was named Franciscus Joseph
Godparents were Joseph and Maria Vallone unmarried children of Joannis.
#231 and 232 have Fathers Vincentius Ferrara of Dino and Vincentius Ferrara of Moses (I am assuming the same is true with Dino and Moses even though the g. is not showing)
