I am hoping that one or more of the UK Ferneyhough researchers can help me verify some information that has been given to me.
One of my gggggrandfathers was Edward Ferneyhough. The information that I have is that he was born 19 August 1760 in Checkley, Stafford, England. Sometime prior to 1775, his family moved to Orange County, VA here in the USA. The information goes on to state that his siblings were William Ferneyhough born 01 January 1746, John Ferneyhough born 17 November 1749, Thomas Ferneyhough born 13 October 1751, Phillip Ferneyhough born 01 January 1754, and Anne or Nancy Ferneyhough who was born 04 September 1757. The birth place for each is listed as Checkley. The data goes on to state that the parents of these children were Thomas Ferneyhough (born 14 June 1724 in Checkley) and Dorothy ------. Thomas' parents were supposedly William Ferneyhough and Frances-----.
Do any of you have these Ferneyhoughs in your files? If so, is the information correct and complete? Can anyone add to the ancestral line? I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone who has information on this Ferneyhough line.
