Thanks Roy, that info does seem to tie in, do you hav more specific info as to where in Stanley he was? It has all so been suggested that he was living or had property possibly an inn in Trentham along with a sister. This info I picked up of the net as a census listing, but I could not open the file to get all the info.possibly the 1851 census. I now have a direct line back to circa 1650 and my part of the family are definitly from Ipstones or at least as far back as 1650. I have also got Fernihoughs back to early 1500's but have not fitted them into my tree as yet. Going back to William, I have him in the 1841 census at Flatsheaf Cheddleton, but my next step is to find out the names of all his offspring, obviously I have allready got Josiah b.1853. Any Help would be great. If I can be of any help with info I have collected dont hesitate to ask. P.S. which branch of the tree do you belong to? regards Tim Sellars Notify Administrator about this message?
