Sorry I haven't looked in for a while, only we have a new baby so are a bit busy...
Thanks for your reply. I now have a confirmation from Marys' marriage certificate to Charles Wheeler that her fathers name was indeed William. Also, without prompting, one of my grans' sisters thinks that Marys' mothers name was Mary too!
From the IGI I have found a William F. married to Mary Rogers 21 Apr 1874, Birmingham which would be about right and also a William Jackson F. baptised 26 Sep 1852 in Kings Bromley - parents Lewis & Mary.
Does this tie up with what you have?
