My Father, JOHN ALEXANDER FERNIE was born in Cheadle Hulme in 1919. He went on to participate in over 60 RAF missions during WW2 and then to the USA and became a well known illustrator and artist.
I am looking for information on my grand parents and ancestors:
Grandmother: Violet Ailsa Simpson Fernie (formerly Daniels)died aprox. 1933,
Grandfather: John Kerr Mitchell Fernie born aprox 1888, died aprox. 1961, had son JOHN ALEXANDER (my father) daughter JOAN and 2 sons by second wife Rene, PETER and ? They then lived in Leeds area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. My email is: bruce_fernie@hotmail.com
