You mentioned finding John Fernandez only on the 1911 Census and I don’t know if you have the following information but here it is in case you haven’t. The 1911 and 1901 Census are available online at http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/index.html You have the 1911 so I’ll just list what is on the 1901 Guysborough County, Sonora, District T, pages 1 & 2 Fernandez John head born May 6, 1857 Etta wife born May 6, 1875 Bell dau born Feb 13, 1887 Louis son born Sept 22, 1894 William son born July 22, 1896 Percy son born Dec 25, 1900 The 1881 Census is on the LDS site at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp Sherbrooke, Guysborough Co., Dist 3-G, page 21 Rachael Fernandis – widow – Scottish – age 66 – born NS – C. of England John A Fernandis - German – age 23 – born NS – mariner – C of England George Frenandis - German – age 17 – born NS - - C of England Incidentally on the 1901 Census at Automatedgenealogy, there is a notation by John’s name. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is the name of an individual who is also researching him. She lists him as her great grandfather. The Guysborough genelogical site is at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~guys/landgrants.html There are some cemetary records for people with the name Fernandez there and a name included in the Guysborough Grantee List 1765-1789 which is interesting Ludovic Ferdinand Hope this all helps a bit Happy Hunting Burdette Notify Administrator about this message?
