Hello,
I am writing because I saw your post and realized that we may have a connection.
My grandfather was Antone Fernandes who came from Madeira Island too. His parent were named Joao Fernandes and Isabel Santos.
Antone, my grandfather, had other siblings. Mary was one sister that he had but I can not name any others. So, I was wondering if your relative was one.
I do know that he had a brother and I think his name was Richard or Ricardo.
