Here is what I have so far. John Fergusson, of Scottish descent, married Elizabeth Ann Matthews, daughter of John Matthews and Maria Bruce. Their son, William Bruce Fergusson, married Adele Compton, daughter of Willson Compton and Charlotte Hebb. William and Adele probably married in Md., and all of the following children were born
in La Plata, Charles Co., Md.
Charlotte Elizabeth, (1867-1940) m. John
Orris Gantt, resided in McLean, Va.
William, married Bessie ? and had sons
Compton and Merrill. Merrill m. Eleanor ?
Mary (Daisy), m. Ned Roby, d. prob. Mi. or Il
Adele, m. (1)Augustus Young (2) Leslie Duvall
had daughter Gussie Young
Margaret (Maggie May), m. Wallace Slaughter
Amelia (Middy), m. ? Faulkner
Lillian, (1890-1988), m. Will Theophile
Blanche, died young
Jessie, died young
Five of these daughters moved to Chicago, Il. as young women.
