James Farguson rec'd grant of 1200 acres on south side Hurricane Swamp, Amelia Co VA in 1739. In 1747 this was increased to 1550 acres. Then in 1757 James Farguson, of King & Queen Co., VA sells to his SON Robert Farguson of Amelia Co VA 600 acres on Hurricane Cr, a portion of James' original grant, etc. (Amelia Co VA DB 7:79). This proves that James had a son Robert. Robert died between 21 Nov 1775 and 18 Feb 1783. His tract of land (being part of James' grant,etc.) was divided among Robert's BROTHERS Joel Farguson; Titus Farguson; and SISTERS Philadelphia Bridgforth; Joice Lumkin; Elizabeth Brooks.... (Amelia Co VA DB 16:176). This proves that James Farguson had children: Joel; Titus; Robert; Philadelphia; Joice; Elizabeth.
Question: how does this James Farguson fit into family?
