I came across your posting and wanted to help but I'm confused about something. I got the info. below from pilot.familysearch.org's "South Carolina Death Certificates 1915-1943".

Is the Minerva [Coln] Thomas below your Minerva? I ask because everything you said about her coincides with the info. on the death certificate except the part about Paul Ferguson being her husband. The info. below says Paul was Minerva's "father" not her husband. Which is correct?
