I am looking for information about the Elijah Ferguson mentioned in Elizabeth Leaton's will (Will Book 4, pg. 27, Oct 1780). Named in Elizabeth's will are her daughters Lucy Ferguson and Susannah Ferguson and grandson Elijah Ferguson.
It is supposed that Lucy Leaton married Edward Ferguson and her sister Susannah Leaton married William Ferguson (Edward's brother?)as Susannah is appointed executrix of William Ferguson's estate (Court Order Book 15, 25 Jan 1781). Evidently, Elijah is the son of one of Elizabeth's daughter's and her Ferguson husband.
I'm wondering why no other grandchildren are mentioned in Elizabeth's will. Were minor children excluded?
Thanks for any help you can give me on this Elijah Ferguson as I can find no further mention of him!
