I ran across the Will of Richard FERGUSON of Laurens Dist., South Carolina, [Recorded in Will Book c-1, page 315, Bundle 26, Pkg. 7--Laurens Co., S.C.; proven: June 6, 1808], which mentions his sons: Ward, Miles, John, Charles, and Samuel, and his daughters: Tabitha Wara MOTLEY, Franky McCRAVEY, Elizabeth FERGUSON, and Mary VAUGHN. I am currently trying to determine if this Mary VAUGHN is the same Mary FERGUSON , who married Claiborn VAUGHN. My line comes through the daughter of Mary and Claiborn VAUGHN, Martha VAUGHN, who married Almond Gwinn MILAM. I am actively searching the S. C. records for proof of the relationship. Willing to share what I have so far.
