Our Ferguson/Fergason direct female line is as follows:
Clarissa Ann Fergason born 9/28/1856 Alabama died 4/21/1906 Parker Co, TX (husband William Jackson Craig)
William R. (Russel) Fergason born 6/8/1825 South Carolina died 10/8/1886 Lawrence Co, AL (wife Sara Jane Harris)
Clement Fergason born 1791 North Carolina died 5/25/1856 Lawrence Co, AL (wife Mary LNU)
Robert Fergason born 1765 North Carolina died 1/1850 Greenville Co, SC (wife Cassander - believed to be full blooded Cherokee)
Until this past week end, Robert Fergason/Ferguson was our brick wall. Based on some new information given to me by a professional genealogist from Nesbo, North Carolina, we now strongly believe the father of our Robert Fergason is:
Andrew Ferguson born about 1724 Scotland died 7/25/1810 Lincoln Co, NC(wife Mary) who was the son of
Robert Ferguson born about 1700 Scotland, died 12/3/1794 Tyrone/Lincoln Co, NC (wife Mary Fitzpatrick) who was the son of
John Ferguson born about 1685 Scotland (wife Margaret Douglas).
I'm hoping that someone on this board may be able to help me confirm this.
