Sherri, I'm searching for the origins of my gggrandfather, Thomas Ferguson (birth date unknown) who married Jane T. Inman in Madison County, AL in 1834 after taking a Land Grant there in 1831. There is one report that he was in TN before that and one lead (also not confirmed) that he was the son or grandson of Joel and a brother or uncle to a Horatio who had originated in VA. At this point, I have not broken through the brick wall around Thomas. He died in 1840, 41, or 42 and Jane remarried to George Woodruff before moving to Franklin County, MO where my ggrandfather was raised and took the name Woodruff. Any leads welcome! Roger
