I have found a Francis Ann Ferguson that married an R. A. Sharp on 5 Jan 1879 in Limestone Co., Texas.
My R. A. Sharp was the only R. A. in the county in 1870.
By 1880 he was in Van Zandt Co., TX living with his widowed father, R. M. and a younger brother. R. A. , at that time, also had a wife named "Dora" and a son that was a year old named Richard.
By 1900 R. M. had also died and he was remarried with other children. But, not Richard.
I know that R. M. (R. A.s' father)was living in Wood Co., TX in 1879 because records show him to sell his land in Cherokee Co. to his father, and also noted that he was residing in Wood Co., TX at that time.
So, it appears that R.A.'s father went from Limestone, to Cherokee, to Wood, to Van Zandt Cos. between 1870 and 1880. I have no idea if R.A. took his wife and followed his dad, or went straight to Van Zandt Co.
I'm almost positive that Francis Ann Ferguson is my "Dora". The census showed Dora to have been born abt. 1864 in Louisiana, with her parents being born in Kentucky.
If anyone has information on Francis Ann Ferguson, I would appreciate any help.
