There were also families of Gibsons in the
Mt. Joy area. This was the Penn's Marsh Creek settlement area, synonymous with the Manor of Maske, at the Susquehanna River.
Gettysburg is a little north of the once center of this manor.
I ran across this information hoping for a possible connection to my ancestor, Samuel Allison Gibson who married a Mary Stewart. They later settled in Indiana County PA.

According to the information at this site at world connect, Hugh Fergus' >second wife< was Sarah Gibson. They were from MT Joy (info from page is below if you don't want to go there).
