FERGUS heritage in the Carribean

Response to Janet Fergus Daughery's request dated October 16, 1999 daugmatic@aol.com
"My lineage of Fergus was derived from Trinidad in the West Indies first then Scotland. Any connections via the Caribbean?"

When I read this several years ago I did not have any information to fill-in for this request. But, since I have been telephoning all FERGUS folk state by state, I can report that there are at least 8-10 FERGUS people from the West Indies in both MA and NY. Most reported that they originally came from Monteserrat, W.I.

I hope this will help any folks looking about for cousins from the West Indies. I have made notes on my work sheets and I would be glad to share the information as long as I have the work sheets.
