I have new information which places William and Margaret Fergus of Kirkintilloch, Scotland in Bridport, Addison Co., VT in 1828.
Even though he owned land in Essex Co., NY and is buried in Willsboro, NY. A new discovery of his Essex Co land sale in 1828, lists him as a resident of Bridport, VT.
Has anyone seen Margaret Rochead Fergus in VT? She seems to have disappeared between Scotland and America. Thanks for your help.
