John Fentress b 6/1/1781, d. 1/24/1860, married to Elinor Dozer, was the son of Valentine Fentress and Sarah Elizabeth (Sally) Hogg. He laid out the town of South Carrollton, Ky., on his farm. He was my gggreat-grandfather. He and Elinor (or Nellie) are buried in the old cemetery here in South Carrollton (Muhlenberg County). Want to know more about his & his family's life here? I live on what is left of his farm (abt 900 acres) in South Carrollton. Children are Malvina (my ggreat-grandmother), Lancaster D., Eliza, John Valentine, and Martha (others??). Forgive mistakes! I'm new at this!!
