Seeking to correspond with kin related to
Clayton Dewitt FENTON born 5/27/1875 in Mantua, OH
died 7/31/1938 --owned drug store (druggist) in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He inherited drug store from his father-in-law Orrin F. FRAZER born Mar 1846 in Ohio and married to Mary Josephine aka Josie BURTON b in NY, who originally owned the drug store and was also a druggist.
I have quite a bit of information but also have some unsolved mysteries. Have photo of Mary Josephine aka Josie BURTON FRAZER and of their beautiful home in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Clayton married to Donna C. FRAZER born <1873>
They had couple of daughters and one son:
Harley D. FENTON age 24 in 1930 census.
Ruth L. GOODWIN, granddaughter, living w/ them in the 1900 census.
Needing to find out more about Donna's sister Lillian, divorced from a MATHEW...no children, she might have married one William C. TAYLOR according to 1930 census, might be living next door to Clayton D. FENTON and her sister Donna C. Frazer FENTON.
Oliver Goffee BURTON b. 1908 in Rochester, NY -lived most of his life in NY including had a first wife, moved to Chagrin Falls, OH in 1940; his second wife's name was Mildred FENTON who was born in Ohio, who is she and how is she related to the other FENTON family. Oliver's middle name came from the ancestor William GOFFE, the regicide, and someone out there has that proof. We do have newspaper articles New York newspapers as our only proof of relationship to William GOFFE.
I also have Clayton D. FENTON's parents names which were:
Greene FENTON of Streetsboro, Portage County, OH b. abt 1830 and Louisa FROST b. Mar 12, 1834.
If anyone knows any kin or more stories or has photographs for e.g. of the drugstore in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, would be appreciated. There are at present no FENTON's living in Chagrin Falls, OH, according to phone book.
