Betty,
This is all very tricky. I have come across Henry Fenton, and his land grant, a number of places. York County, in 1649, was much bigger than today. The actual spot for that grant may have been in what is now King and Queen County, near the town of West Point, VA. I have a number of references for various Fenton's in York (and surrounding) County. Unfortunately I have been unable to make any link from my John Fenton (1789) to any of the earlier ones.
I have noted your Thomas Fenton before, but again, don't have any connections.
