In a couple of Land Patent and Grants in Virginia records I have found recently (1623-1666) I find a Henry Fenton granted land at the mouth of the Mattaponi River. Then other entries for land that is bounded by Fenton's Creek and Aracyaco (Araciaco) Swamp also at the mouth of the Mattaponi. I have had no luck finding the creek or swamp on maps from the 1860's forward. Anyone with knowledge?
