Taking a little time to do some research and just came back to this board. Thanks Tom, et.al. I was a part of the FenderBenders a few years ago. There was some discussion that Mathias and Martin could possibly the same person and the names may have been used interchangably in some instances. I have seen lists with both names. I have also found that many websites list Martin Finter/Finder being married to Barbara Grub(b). Her name was Anna Barbara Grub. The Grub name was also spelled Kropf, Crup, and is now Grubb. Could it be Mathias who was married to Barbara Grub? or could this Barbara Grub married Martin Finter early on, passed away and he remarried to Barbara Long?

I think the confusion of Martin and Barbara Grub being married arises from the Peaked Mtn church records of August Co VA. I do not know what proof those website trees have to show the two ever married. Anyone with data to back it up please let me know!
Thanks for all of the posts here and hello again Virginia. Richard of Radclift where are you?????
