On Aug. 19, 1788 Dewald Fenstermacher was married to Catharina Pfeiffer,who was born June 29, 1760.She died on Oct. 14, 1834 in Canfield Twp., now Mahoning Co.,OH. and he died on August 10, 1842 also in Canfield Twp.Both are buried in Old North Cemetery in Canfield Twp.
John Fenstermaker married Elizabeth Smouse in PA.She was born about 1789.John was born January 19, 1791 in Leigh Co, PA.I have him dying before March 1841 in Jackson Twp., Trumbell Co.Their children were Mary, Catherine, Jane, Adam who married Elizabeth Shoenberger on Feb. 14, 1843 in Warren, Trumbell Co., OH, Charles born Aug. 8, 1816 in Bedford Co., PA d January 8, 1884 in Harrisville Twp., Medina Co., OH.He married Hannah Moyer, daughter of Gabriel Moyer and Hannah Andreas on Feb. 19, 1846 in Trumbell Co. They had Melissa married Levi Dague, John Walter married Nancy Woods, Gabriel Franklin married Irene ?, Alice L.married Edwin Britton, Hannah Elizabeth married Caleb N. White, Augusta who married Joseph Philip Rice (my husband's grandparents, and Elsie May married Adam H. Gable. Remaining children of John and Elizabeth Smouse Susan, Mary A., Peter, Rebecca and Daniel.Mahoning Co. was formed from part of Trumbell Co. about 1847.
I have been researching for quite some time so have much info on the Fenstermakers, Moyers, Andreas, Wotring,Rice, etc.All are of German descent.
Hannah and Gabriel Moyer are buried cemetery in the former Reformed Church on Pawnee Rd., In Harrisville Twp.Over the years the Moyer became Meyer.They had a large family.
