John born 1841 in Ireland serving in East Indies until his retirement - settling in Pendleton, Lancashire with his wife Ann(ie) nee Carr formerly Wells.
Their children William born East Indies 1866
Jane East Indies 1870
Richard East Indies 1872
Margaret East Indies 1874
Thomas East Indies 1877 - he married Mabel Ware and they emigrated to USA with their son in the early 1900s
whilst in America he adopted the middle name Firth
