Dear kathleen

I saw your reply to pat woods email on the site and decided to reply - for what its worth! My name is Ken Fennelly and I live in Kilkenny Ireland. James Fennelly of Bennetsbridge was my Great grandfathers - father.

In the Kilkenny area there are three differant - distinct- fennelly families. Unfortunately I don't have enough info. to work out who's related to who! Nevertheless the fennelly family from Bennetsbridge is quite a small "branch" and so neither can I confirm if Pat wood is related.

I will try to find the roots of my family and the other two. What I can confirm historically however is that the fennelly name appears on the Ormonde (ancient name for Kilkenny area) deeds in approx. 1280ad.

Therefore we must all be related in some way at least tenously!

Will write again when I have more info.

regards,

Ken fennelly.
