I'm not a Fennell researcher , but ran across this article in an old newspaper and wondered if maybe this "lost" Fennell might be returned to a. family tha may have never known what happe4ned to him.

From the Newkirk [Oklahoma] Democrat, 29 September 1897
A week ago last Saturday Chas. Fennell, a threshing machine hand, was thrown while riding horseback and the horn of the saddle made a wound in the abdomen. He was brought to his city and received the best of care and attention, but to no avail. He lingered until last Monday evening when he died. Fennell was a stranger here, having but recently arrived and had no known friends or relatives. He was buried Tuesday at the county’s expense.
