My grandfather has been able to cite my ancestry back to his great grandfather William A Fennell of the SC lowcountry/Charleston area. From what I know, WA Fennell and his brother Arthur Fennell joined the 11th infantry CSA with their father William H Fennell. Arthur died and from what I know,both Williams were captured but made it back. William A had a son named Frizz who had at least 1 son named Bute (probably had brothers Edward and William). Bute had my grandfather Frederick (says David on his birth certificate) and several other sons. Frederick had Frederick Jr, Charles and Suzanne. I am Frederick Jrs daughter (3 brothers) and have a son myself. I am trying to find anything regarding William Sr including wives, children, parents, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I hope that what I have found will be of assistance to someone.
