Am researching grandmother's family tree, her mother was Sarah Fenn born 1863 to John Fenn 1835 and Esther, they had many other children.
I hate to say this but there were so many John Fenns living in the same area of Wolverhampton who were born around 1835 that it has been difficult for me to sort out the correct one for my family tree, and I have yet to work out who my John Fenn's father was!! (There were 3 John Fenns born in 1835 in St Peter's ward alone in Wolverhampton!)
I have come across your John born in 1835 along with the rest of his family: Joseph 1801, Ann 1801, Winifred milliner 1825, Ann 1826, Joseph 1830 general merchant clerk, Thomas 1832 same occupation as Joseph, Elizabeth 1834, John about 1835/6 carpenter's apprentice, and Frances 1840 who was a scholar at the time of the 1851 census, and who were all living in Stafford Street (that's interesting I've spent 20 years or more standing in Stafford Street catching buses!).
