Hi John, good to hear from you. Sorry for the delay but I have been away ob business for a few days.
I have mostly been researching my maiden name of DOwning but seeing your posting has made me start looking at the fenns again.
I found this

Thomas's father was another William Fenn and I have found his marriage as well:
Date 12 Jun 1831 Groom William FENN condition bac residence otp Bride Elizabeth JOHNSON condition sp residence otp Parish Ely, Holy Trinity , CAM Notes –
(Banns)
. Married 26 Jun 1831 Groom William (x) FENN aged – condition bac occupation – residence otp Bride Elizabeth (x) JOHNSON aged – condition sp occupation – residence otp Licence? by banns Groom father – – occupation – Bride father – – occupation – Witnesses John JOHNSON, Jas LING, – –, – – Notes – Parish Ely, Holy Trinity, CAM

Here is Elizabeth baptism.
2. Baptised 7 Jul 1813 Born – – – Name Elizabeth JOHNSON son/dau of dau of Father John Mother Pleasant Residence of [[Broad Street]] Broad Street Father Occupation waterman Notes – Parish Ely, Holy Trinity , CAM
I believe William was the son of Jeremiah & Mary Fenn.

On the IGI I found Jeremiah Fenn married Mary GOtobed 13th Sept 1811. This is where the Gotobed comes from .
There is a lot of info on the Cambridgeshire Family History Society website.
Are you living in the UK ?
Please feel free to e-mail me directly for more info.
