I'm aware of half-a-dozen English clergymen by the name of Fenn in the C19th. I believe one was touring across Canada at that time:
Christopher Cyprian Fenn b.1823 was a senior Missionary and Secretary of the Church Missionary Society, who visited Canada c. 1870 to improve the way the church was (not) working with its country-born converts.
There was no mention of a wife or children in his Times obituary of 15 Oct 1913, but it seems likely he married twice in London, in MarQ 1859 and DecQ 1872. Note there was a Joseph Cyprian Fenn mentioned in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography - I can't imagine the name is just a co-incidence.
CC was from an active Christian family, his father Joseph Fenn was a barrister who became a pioneering CMS missionary and teacher in India and Syria. I know of at least one convert who assumed his name in Kerala.
At least two of CC's brothers were clergymen: Rev Nathaniel Vincent Fenn, Rev Joseph Finch Fenn. They also had brothers Samuel and Charles Hunter Fenn, and a sister Elizabeth S Fenn.
If this is helpful let me know if you'd like more information.
