Thanks, Joan, for the confirmation about Maud (Mary) Sullivan Fenn. My mother died in 1937 and her sister Ben was 11 years younger so I had very little contact. Re.the problem: On the death certificate with information given by your grandfather, James Alvin was born in March, 1865 and died April 22, 1907. In the SF Call Bulletin for April 23, 1907, they write "James A., husband of the late Mary Fenn and son of Delia and the late Lyman Fenn, brother of Charles B. and Lyman J. Fenn, native of SF..." The next day, April 24, they add "father of Ethel, Hazel, Blanche, and Lyman Fenn..." so there doesn't seem to be a problem re. Blanche's age, although I always understood that she was the youngest of the four. Do you have any more information about Mary Sullivan Fenn? I am also interested in Mary Ann Finn Sjovall and her sister married to Catlow.
