Okay, I'm beginning to sort out some of my old research. Your ancestor, Cordelia Fenn, had a brother George. George moved from Sharon to Middletown shortly after my 3rd g. grandfather (Roswell Fenn) did the same. George's farm butted up against Roswell's. There are only four Fenn's listed in Sharon in the census records from 1800 to 1840. Amos, Amos Jr, Samuel (Cordelia's father) and Isaac. Isaac and Amos were cousins. Edward Fenn ( d. 2/2/ 1728, age 84) came from England in the 1600's and settled in Wallingford. His first wife was Mary Thorp (d. 7/24/1725) They married 11/15/1688. Two of their children were John and Thomas. Thomas married Lydia Ackley and fathered Isaac. John married Sarah --- and fathered Amos. Amos was born in 1745 and had children between 1768 and 1789. I'm not sure about Isaac, but census records should sort that out. Cordelias father must have been either a son or grandson of Isaac or Amos. Amos seems to have had four sons; Roswell (b. 12/24/1774), who moved to Middletown, Chatfield who moved to New York, Amos jr., and Welcome Doolittle Fenn, who moved to Michigan. Isaac had at least six children; Linus, b. 8/30/1770, Abijah, b. 6/20/1772, Mehitable, b. 1/31/1776, Sabra, b. 4/2/1779, Rosetta, b. 12/6/1781, and Bede, b. 1/10/1786. Technically speaking, Amos or Isaac could have fathered Samuel. It seems more likely that one of their oldest sons would have been the father. Chatfield is listed in the census records as Cheefield once and Cholfield another time. In 1790, Amos is listed as Amos Finn of Watertown. I hope some of this info either contains familiar family names or migration patterns. I have a great deal of information on the Fenn's of Connecticut.
