Hi Antonia,
I've been researching the FENECH Surname for sometime now.
Although both my Grandparents were born in Italy I've heard by word of mouth that the first FENECH to arrive in Italy(and perhaps even Malta) was a Cooper(barrelmaker) from England.Since large pockets of FENECHs are found in British Possessions or areas that used to be(e.g.,MALTA, CANADA, & AUSTRALIA,etc) wonder if you have any data on Origin of Name in England? I've heard of its origin in Northumberland.
