Marc and Roseann,
I saw your messages on the genealogy message board.
PLEASE RESPOND TO ME.I, too, am
looking for relatives in the Feltz line.
I have been in contact with Joe Feltz in Fairmont West Virginia. He tells me that his father was James and
his grandfather was Carmen. He sent me a picture of the family (Carmen, Teresa and two sons James and Dominick).
I also found a census record from 1920 with this family listed on Dewey Street in Fairmont, WV.
Carmen (51 yrs old), his wife Teresa (44) and two sons James (25) and Dominick (younger than 25).
(Note that the name of Carmen was listed as "Comeny")That puts Carmen's birth year back to around 1869-1870.
My great-grandfather Louis Feltz was born in 1866.Joe and I are trying to determine whether his grandfather Carmen
was a brother of my great-grandfather Louis.
Roseann - you say your father was Carmen(is he still alive today?), your grandfather was James and your great-grandfather was Alfonse. Is that correct? If you can come up with any birth years, we can try to piece these together.
I also have some information about the original last name - from a birth certificate I believe. There was a
TOMASSO Frarraccio (Feltz) who is the father of my great-grandfather Luigi or Louis Feltz.Perhaps Alfonse and Tomasso were brothers??
And I have found the part of the Frarraccio family who kept the name "frarraccio".
Some live in NJ and some in OH..
Here is my info (note I am related to the Feltz line on my mother's side Marie Feltz Oliveri).
