Dear Vanessa, My records show that William Felts and Mary J. Wilson were married July 14, 1848 in Southampton County, Va. There children were: 1. Pythias B. Felts, born approx.1848 - 2. Martha R. Felts, born abt. 1853 - 3. Sarah E. Felts, born abt 1855 and Dewitt C. Felts, born abt.1856. 1. Pythias B. Felts, age 22, was married to Sarah A. Barnes, age 21,daughter of James and Caroline Barnes of Southampton County, Va. according to Southampton Co. Book 1A - page 433, on the 25th of January, 1871. He was listed as a farmer. 2. Martha R. Felts, age 19, was married to Augustus C. Higgins, age 24, of Granville County, the son of Henry W. and Mourning Higgins, according to Southampton Co. Book 1A - page 479, on the 4th of January 1872. 3. Sarah E. Felts, age 17, was married to James A. Pope, age 23, son of Giles and Elizabeth Pope, of Southampton County, Va. Book 2 - page 6 - on the 8th of February, 1872. 4. Dewitt C. Felts, Mechanic, age 24, was married to Laura Pope, daughter of Sam and Mary Jane Pope of Southampton County, according to Book 4 - page 170 Southampton Records, the 12th of August, 1880. Interesting to note Southampton Marriage Record, Book 22 - Page 43, Ed. C. Felts 35 (farmer) of Southampton County, son of D.C. Felts and Laura Pope, married to Winnie Ellsworth, age 26, of Southampton County, parents Everett P. Ellsworth and Myrtle E. Story,married the 10th of January, 1935. Will research my notes, for the father of William Felts 1848.
